Meanwhile, the same bench unanimously dismissed an appeal against conviction and sentence by a popular singer who raped his underage daughter.
The 59-year-old entertainer, who managed a food stall, committed the offence at his house in Sentul Pasar, Kuala Lumpur, on Sept 26, 2001.
The girl was then 11 years and 10 months old.
On April 29, 2005, the Sessions Court found the accused guilty and sentenced him to 19 years' jail.
