Blood donation drive at mosque
2010/03/26
KUALA LUMPUR: The National Mosque yesterday organised a blood-donation drive to target at least 100 blood donors from among its congregation.
The four-hour campaign which began at 10am, was aimed at encouraging the public to donate blood, besides helping the National Blood Centre to enhance awareness among Muslims, on the importance of blood donation.
National Mosque public relations officer Azhar Tuarno said the campaign, held triannually since 2003, received encouraging response from Muslims and non-Muslims alike. -- Bernama
