Imam's teenage daughter tests positive for drugs

KUALA TERENGGANU: An imam's daughter was among several people who tested positive for drugs during a police operation to nab road thugs and check drug abuse among teenagers here on Friday and Saturday.

The 17-year-old girl was riding pillion on her boyfriend's motorcycle when they ran into a police roadblock at Jalan Sultan Muhamad in Gong Kapas at 1.35am.

Instead of stopping, they sped away and rode against the flow of traffic with 25 other riders.

However, police caught the couple after they failed to make a U-turn about 100m from the roadblock.

The girl said she had quit school last year and was now working in a supermarket in Kuala Berang.
