SOME 200 people turned up at the nasi lemak-teh tarik fiesta and 1Malaysia food heritage programme at Kuala Kubu Baru to witness the largest wrapped nasi lemak, measuring a staggering 1.82m by 1.82m, which earned an entry into the Malaysia Book of Records.
The prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, unveiled the giant nasi lemak at the district Fire and Rescue Department parade ground yesterday.
National Heritage Department employees cooked the whole day and project coordinator Ruzairy Arbi said 400kg of rice, 50kg onions, chillies and anchovies, 30kg peanuts, 1,000 eggs and 100 chickens were used.
